Ian was born and raised in Durham, a city rich with history and natural beauty. It is quite possible that in such an idyllic setting the seeds of Ian’s love for history and literature were planted; seeds that grew during his time at University.
Ian studied History and International Relations at the University of St Andrews, a time he regards as one of the happiest of his life. Whilst at University Ian travelled extensively, spending prolonged periods in China, Western Europe and North America. It was at University that Ian met his girlfriend Ruth, who he now lives with in London.
Following University, Ian spent a month learning Russian in St Petersburg. It was here, whilst sitting in a dingy café, staring out at the Venetian style cityscape, that he decided it was time to embark upon a new project. That project was - Rise of the Stormcrow.
Since publishing Rise of the Stormcrow, Ian has already begun work on the second novel in a planned trilogy of the Stormcrow series, eager to continue unleashing his hungry imagination onto his unsuspecting keyboard.
Ian genuinely welcomes feedback of his work and for more information on how to reach him please visit the contact page.
